How to Add Meta Tag Description In Blogger

To gain huge traffic is  the same with optimizing more your  blog to be more SEO (Search Engine Optimization) friendly. Aside from practicing those basic SEO tips, another important part of a good SEO is the adding of meta tags, which in the same time, are invisible to users visiting the site.They are placed inside the head section of your blog template HTML. Sound weird, to be more specific, these meta tags  help search engine to include information about the page such as author name, date, key word, descriptions, title, and the like.

Adding Meta Tag In Blogger

Step 1.  Go to Blogger Dashboard >> Design >> Edit HTML codes:
Step 2. Find the code below in your blog template HTML.

<b:include data='blog' name='all-head-content'/>

Step 3.  Just after that line /code above, place the code below,

<meta content='DESCRIPTION HERE' name='description'/>
<meta content='KEYWORDS HERE' name='keywords'/>
<meta content='AUTHOR NAME HERE' name='author'/>

Step 4. Save your Template! and you are done.

Checking your the Meta tag Description Online

Confirm whether you’ve entered the meta tags correctly, using an online meta tag checker.

• Make sure you check at least two pages -home page and one of the post pages.


• Compare the extracted meta information as what I did in one of my post, notice the difference.
